A Busy Spring Leads to an Exciting Summer

This spring has been busy and the upcoming summer is shaping up to be exciting with events and happening which will continue to push renewable thermal heating and cooling forward.

The NYGEO event this past April saw over 300 attendees representing 26 States and 6 Countries. ( https://ny-geo.org/pages/ny-geo-20108-sattendees-alt ) With keynote speakers include John Rhodes, Chairman of the NYS PSC and Alicia Barton, President and CEO of NYSERDA showing their great, unwavering support of geothermal technologies and their recognition of the great potential geothermal has to reduce GHG emissions in NYS.

RENU was also busy promoting renewable heating and cooling, presenting to the NYC DDC and the NY chapter of the Association for Preservation Technologies discussing advancements in geothermal ground connection technologies, demonstrating how utilizing high performance heat exchangers and hybrid technologies can reduce the installation cost and geothermal area requirements by more than 50% while still eliminating the burning of fuel in buildings.

RENU and the CT Geothermal Association is excited to be sponsoring the Renewable Thermal Alliance/ North East Energy Partnership (RTA/NEEP) Renewable Heating and Cooling Workshop this coming Monday, June 18, 2018 to Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Saratoga Springs NY. The two day event will bring together a wide array of stakeholders to discuss and strategize on how regulators, utilities and the renewable heating and cooling industry will move forward towards short and long term regional GHG reduction goals.
